My last day in Salzburg and despite the change in weather – cold and misty – I headed off in search of Nonnberg Priory and St Peter’s Abbey & cemetery (more Sound of Music locations and inspirations). Thankfully today was a bit quieter so no fighting off loads of tourists to get a decent photo without 50 Japanese people in it!

I’m dreading tomorrow as we leave for Vienna. I have a 4 hour/200+ mile trip with 2 whinging stressed dogs but first I have to find the only garage in Salzburg that sells LPG and the Fressnapf store so I can stock up on dog food. No doubt I will arrive hoarse having spent the entire journey screeching at Timmy and Chloe to chill out. In true cheesey fashion I intend on playing Ultravox ‘Vienna’ as we enter the city – you can’t not.

About travellingninjas3

Scarlet haired veggie/coeliac/tattooed/charity shop loving rebel sold everything to take to the road with 3 Yorkies in a campervan to discover the meaning of life & blog about it. It all went well for 18 months but then a flippin bloke walked into my life and turned it upside down so now the travelling has come to a halt but I still live in the van but in a field - marvellous :o)
