We have just had another dog filled 2 days in the lovely hamlet of Stroxton staying with the wonderful Julieanne and Ged of Fragrant Friends fame and their brood – Hector and Sasha (Great Danes) Bailey (Cocker Spaniel) and Molly (JRT). Izzy due to it being ‘that’ time of year has been thoroughly enchanted by the attention of the boys – especially Hector ( I do believe it was love at 1st sight). Timmy’s been strutting around as if he owned the place and Chloe has been her usual Ninja self – lots of eating, sleeping and cuddles and walking into things.
My van now has a working satellite dish and TV, running water, a fixed rear bumper (oops must be more careful of grass verges) and 4 working cab stereo speakers. I am forever grateful to Ged for his time and patience especially in explaining the workings of a satellite dish to me. Watching the dogs all play together has been wonderful and Izzy is now covered in ‘HectorPlasm’ – slobber to you and me.
We have now arrived back in the Midlands – not here by choice but I have a few loose ends to tidy up, Izzy to vaccinate and a few things to organise before we finally head for the tunnel. We’re staying on a site in Marton near Rugby which is lovely and quiet and NO CHILDREN ALLOWED – such Bliss. The freedom to go wherever takes my fancy still hasn’t lost its appeal.
