Room with a View

Well that should read ‘Pitch with a View’. We have arrived at Burton Constable – Stately Home & Arboretum, campsite in Sproatley, Yorkshire, a little frazzled (rain, dogs hating travelling) but I am now relaxing with a cup of tea and appreciating the view I have from motorhome pitch no: 41

The only downside to this truly amazing place is the long, long list of rules and regulations you have to abide by…..

1. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and are not allowed in the shower/toilet block or laundry – ok I can go with that

2. No dog should be left unattended – it may cause a nuisance to other campers if it becomes distressed – so does that mean I can’t use the loos/showers/laundry then because I can’t take the dogs in there with me and I can’t leave them unattended?!

3. You are forbidden from hanging clothes out on a line – so you have to fork out to use their tumble dryers (sneaky)

4. Do not use domestic appliances – hmm I guess that means TV, DVD, CD player are all out then?

Plus another 19 rules which I can’t be bothered to list. It’s probably just aswell we’re only staying here 2 nights if I’m confined to my van.

About travellingninjas3

Scarlet haired veggie/coeliac/tattooed/charity shop loving rebel sold everything to take to the road with 3 Yorkies in a campervan to discover the meaning of life & blog about it. It all went well for 18 months but then a flippin bloke walked into my life and turned it upside down so now the travelling has come to a halt but I still live in the van but in a field - marvellous :o)
