Normality sucks

My idea of Hell

There was me thinking that a campsite with laundry facilities was worth booking myself onto for 4 days. How wrong can you be, I’ve been bored out of my brains the entire duration though getting 3 loads of washing done was a huge bonus. Don’t get me wrong the place was nice enough but when you arrive you’re presented with a list of rules and regulations as long as your arm – no noise after 11pm, no dogs off leads, no this, no that…. The showers and loos were modern and clean, there was a pub next door and the grounds were well maintained but you were  all squashed into neat little rows with no space and no privacy. I did enjoy a walk into Pickering – the old market town which was very quaint and charming but I spent the whole time longing to be back amongst ramshackle surroundings, chickens and turkeys and today here I am – back at Bobbybee’s. The cockerels are crowing, I can let the dogs run about and you pretty much pitch up where you feel like it. It is bliss. It kind of reminds me why I decided to give up the Rat Race in the first place.

About travellingninjas3

Scarlet haired veggie/coeliac/tattooed/charity shop loving rebel sold everything to take to the road with 3 Yorkies in a campervan to discover the meaning of life & blog about it. It all went well for 18 months but then a flippin bloke walked into my life and turned it upside down so now the travelling has come to a halt but I still live in the van but in a field - marvellous :o)
